A Review on Vocabulary Learning-Designed MALL Applications in the EFL Context

This review synthesizes the role of applications designed for vocabulary learning in Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) previous studies EFL (English as a Foreign Language) context from 2010-2022, according to set criteria: (quasi) experimental studies, open access peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, types installed on smartphones, context, students, publication period (2010-2022). Specifically, paper emphasizes that learning-tailored have played impacting learners’ (henceforth EFLVL) process. The papers met criteria (51 out 146) were examined using categories: study, level education, applications, impact, major, gender. analysis showed specifically mobile play an important boosting knowledge, motivation, attitudes, perceptions. Research gaps future recommendations are suggested based findings.
